ThinkEV was founded by Vlad Pereira, an entrepreneur based in Courtenay on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He started ThinkEV because most EV coverage came from US-centric outlets that didn't understand Canadian incentive programs, provincial rebate differences, or the incoming wave of Chinese EVs reshaping the market.
ThinkEV fills that gap with independent analysis, honest comparisons, and practical tools built for Canadian drivers — covering everything from federal incentives to charging infrastructure to model-by-model specs.

Born in Brazil and shaped by a career in professional ballet across Mexico and Vancouver, Vlad brings an unconventional path to the EV space. After years in the arts, he turned his analytical mind toward sustainable transportation — founding ThinkEV from Vancouver Island with a clear mission: make EV education accessible to every Canadian, regardless of technical background. Vlad believes the shift to electric vehicles shouldn't require a PhD to understand. ThinkEV exists because navigating rebates, comparing specs, and cutting through marketing noise shouldn't be this hard. He researches, writes, and edits ThinkEV with the same discipline he brought to the stage — attention to detail, commitment to the work, and a deep belief that doing things right matters more than doing them fast.
