2026 Kia EV6

The Kia EV6 was the first 800V-platform EV to land in Canada at a sub-$60K starting price, and the 2026 model year keeps that advantage even as the Ioniq 6 and the GV60 close the gap on charging speed. The EV6 ships in a Light Long Range RWD at the base, a Wind RWD, and Land AWD configurations with GT-Line packages above that. The 576-hp GT performance trim was dropped from the Canadian lineup for 2025, so the range-topper is now the Land AWD with the GT-Line Limited package rather than a standalone GT.

Canadian pricing as of June 2026: EV6 Light RWD at $48,995 CAD, Wind RWD at $55,995, and Land AWD from $58,495 up past $64,995 with the GT-Line Limited package. Only the Light RWD qualifies for the federal EVAP $5,000 rebate — it's on Transport Canada's eligible-vehicle list, and at $48,995 its final transaction value clears the $50,000 cap. After the rebate the Light lands near $43,995: a sub-$44K 800V-platform EV with 528 km of range. Every trim from the Wind up is above the cap and excluded (under the old iZEV ceiling more of them qualified — EVAP's $50K rule is tighter).

The EV6's primary case in Canada is the charging curve. The 800V architecture supports DC fast charging at up to 233 kW, taking the 77.4 kWh pack from 10-80% in 18 minutes on a sufficient charger. The 2026 refresh adds NACS adaptability for Tesla Supercharger access — a critical functional upgrade for owners running the Trans-Canada or any route where CCS DC-fast density still trails Tesla V4.
