2026 Rivian R1S
$94,900

The Rivian R1S is the only seven-seat electric SUV currently sold in Canada that combines body-on-frame capability with passenger-vehicle interior refinement, and the 2026 model year doubles down on that combination. Three rows of seating, 480 km of range on the Quad-Motor trim with the Max battery, 800 hp, and a 7,700 lb towing rating that lets the R1S pull a full Airstream Bambi without compromise.
Canadian pricing runs from roughly $105,000 CAD for a Dual-Motor R1S up past $200,000 for a Quad-Motor, depending on configuration. None of the trims qualify for the federal EVAP rebate — every R1S is far above the $50,000 final-transaction cap.
The R1S's competitive set in Canada is narrow: a Kia EV9 at $61K starts cheaper but doesn't offer body-on-frame off-road capability or comparable towing. A Mercedes EQS SUV competes on refinement but doesn't tow. A VW ID. Buzz seats six but lacks the Rivian's range and capability. For Canadian buyers who genuinely use the third row weekly and tow a trailer monthly, the R1S has effectively no electric peer.
